Catholic Health Australia is the largest non-government provider grouping of health, community and aged care services in Australia, nationally representing Catholic health care sponsors, systems, facilities and related organisations and services. Catholic hospitals – 21 public and 54 private – operate in all Australian states and in the ACT, while more than 550 Catholic aged care services provide care and support in all states and territories. On any given day, one in 10 people in Australian hospitals and one in 10 people in residential aged care are in a Catholic facility. Catholic Health Australia has established itself as a leading voice on issues relating to health, hospitals and aged care.
