Changing your death or TPD cover

In most cases, you can apply to increase your death or TPD cover online at any time. Simply log in to Member Online to apply.

Alternatively, you can complete and return the Change insurance cover form along with a Personal statement.

Our Insurer will then decide whether to accept your application as part of the underwriting process. If you’re approved, your cover becomes fixed cover and increases from the date the Insurer advises us of the increase.

You can decrease your death or TPD cover online at any time.

  • Complete and return the Change insurance cover form.

The decrease in your cover takes effect from the date we receive your request.

You can cancel your death or TPD cover any stage if you no longer need it.

To cancel:

  • Complete and return the Change insurance cover form.

Important things to note if you cancel your cover

If you cancel your cover, insurance costs will stop being deducted from your account.

If we receive your request to cancel your cover within 28 days of cover starting, then we’ll refund any insurance costs you have paid and you won’t be able to make a claim on the cover you had for that period.

Otherwise, we’ll cancel your cover from the date we receive your request. You won’t be able to make a claim with us for an event that occurs after your cover is cancelled.

And if you want cover at a later date, you’ll need to apply and provide evidence of your health to be assessed by our Insurer.

You can apply to change your cover to age-based or fixed cover at any time.

  • Complete and return the Change insurance cover form.

If the change you’re requesting will result in an increase in your cover, you’ll also need to complete questions about your personal circumstances, including your health and medical history, your occupation, your income, and more.

Our Insurer will then decide whether to accept your application as part of the underwriting process. If accepted, your cover will increase from the date the Insurer advises us of the increase.

If your change won’t result in an increase in your cover, then the change will apply from the date we receive your request
